Show / hide the Slack sidebar

(Mathias Elmose) #1

I like to focus on my work but with the Slack sidebar on the right my collegues are always watching me (at least their photos are :sunglasses: ). But I like to have them close so maybe you could hide them normally and then only show them when you hover your mouse to the right side.

Ability to hide colleague/friend bar (on the right)

Yes please
This is a distraction I’d like to turn off please.

Really a turn off for the app. I can’t find a way to get rid of it or alter who comes up.

It is also a bit of a UX oddity as the icons have no use when in other apps -> why do I need to see Slack users when I’m in whatsapp or my calander?

You can easily hide the sidebar by using the View -> “Show Teammates Sidebar” in the top bar menu.

SUMMARY (your need in one sentence)

As a user, I want to be able to hide the rigth sidebar that allows me to ping colleagues, since I don’t use Station with any of my colleagues.

DESCRIBE THE IMPACT (how would it change your experience)

The main advantages for me are:
It would declutter the UI, which is one of the reasons I am using Station over the browser: focus.
